Jay-Z will perform at the Super Bowl LXI halftime show. The NFL, Apple Music, and the rapper confirmed the announcement on Monday. The game is scheduled for Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Roc Nation has produced the halftime shows since 2019. The company recently signed a five-year extension to keep the role through 2029. Since taking over, the productions have featured more hip-hop and rap artists. Last year, Bad Bunny headlined at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin joined him on stage.
Los Angeles last hosted the Super Bowl halftime in 2022. That show featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak made cameo appearances. Recent performers also include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023.
Jay-Z has never performed at a Super Bowl before. The 25-time Grammy winner is currently touring to mark milestones for two classic albums. He is celebrating the 30th anniversary of 'Reasonable Doubt' and the 25th anniversary of 'The Blueprint.'
The Jay-Z 30 Tour began in July with three nights at Yankee Stadium. He then played two shows in London and one in Paris in September. His final scheduled tour dates were Oct. 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. Those concerts serve as a rehearsal for his upcoming Super Bowl set.
