Ukraine halts 42 Russian pushes near Pokrovsk
Ukrainian military reports 189 total clashes in the last 24 hours, with the heaviest fighting concentrated on the southern front.

Ukrainian forces stopped 42 Russian attacks on the Pokrovsk front in the past 24 hours. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released the figures on Facebook at 08:00 on October 29. This sector recorded the highest number of Russian assaults during the reporting period.
The overall count of combat clashes reached 189 across all fronts. Russian forces directed the majority of their offensive efforts toward the southern regions of the battlefield. Ukrainian units engaged in defensive operations along multiple sectors to maintain their positions.
Fighting on the Kostiantynivka front involved 18 separate Russian attacks. The assaults targeted areas near Kostiantynivka, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, and Novoselivka. Russian troops also pressed forward near Rozkishne, Dovha Balka, and Novohryhorivka. Additional strikes occurred near Mykolaipillia, Novopavlivka, and Petrivka.
Ukrainian defenders on the Pokrovsk front engaged Russian units near Serhiivka, Molodetske, and Novopavlivka. The Russian military launched assaults aimed at taking Toretske, Kucheriv Yar, and Sofiivka. They also pushed toward Vilne, Zolotyi Kolodiaz, and Nove Shakhove. Further attempts advanced toward Stepy, Novyi Donbas, and Chernihivka. The final group targeted Sviatohorivka, Dobropillia, Novohryshyne, and Udachne.
Other fronts saw lower intensity activity. Ukrainian units repelled nine Russian attacks on the Huliaipole front near Kosivtseve and Nove Zaporizhzhia. Forces also defended Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipilske, Bilohiria, and Charivne. On the South Slobozhanshchyna front, Ukrainian troops stopped seven Russian attacks near Ternova and Starytsia. The Russians attempted to move near Ozerne and Khrypuny.
Five Russian attacks were repelled on the Lyman front near Nadiia, Kolodiazi, Lyman, and Dibrova. Ukrainian forces stopped four Russian assaults on the North Slobozhanshchyna front near Tovstodubove, Ulanove, and Ryzhivka. Two attacks occurred on the Sloviansk front near Zakitne and Kryva Luka. Single attacks were repelled on the Kupiansk, Oleksandrivka, and Orikhiv fronts. No Russian assaults were recorded on the Kramatorsk front. The Volyn and Polissia fronts showed no change in status, with no evidence of formed Russian offensive groups in the area.
